Description

Lubrimax® is a preparation of Carboxymethylcellulose which provides soothing relief for dry, irritated eyes with a formula that resembles body's own tears. It provides lubricating and hydrating protective shield on the ocular surface.

Indications

For temporary relief of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or due to exposure to wind or sun. Also, may be used as a protectant against further irritation.


Dosage and administration

1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.


Use in pregnancy & lactation

There are no established data on the use of Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium 1% eye drops during pregnancy & lactation in human.

Precautions

For external use only. To avoid contamination, do not touch tip to any surface. Keep bottle tightly closed when not in use.

Warnings

Do not use if this product changes color or becomes cloudy. If patients experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, so patients should discontinue the use and consultation of Doctor is needed.


Side effects
When used as directed, no significant side effects are anticipated. Ocular irritation and allergic reactions have been reported occasionally.

Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product.

Pharmaceutical precautions
  • Store in a cool (15'C -25'C) and dry place protected from light.
  • Do not use after one month once the cap is opened.
