Tioxil^® is a combination of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Lutein, Zinc & Copper. It is an advanced new antioxidant supplement formulated to provide nutritional support for the eye. Vitamin C & Vitamin E reduce the risk of cataract, Lutein protects the macula for degenerative or light damage, zinc works as a co­enzyme for many enzymes and copper plays an important role in growth, skeletal integrity & development of nervous system.

Vitamin C should be given with care to patients with hyperoxaluria. In patients taking oral anticoagulants or estrogens. Vitamin E should be given carefully because it has been found to antagonize the effects of Vitamin K leading to an increase in blood time in these patients.

Generally this preparation is well tolerated. However, large doses of Vitamin C can cause diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal disturbances. Large doses of Vitamin E may also cause diarrhoea, abdominal pain, some other gastrointestinal disturbances, fatigue and weakness.

This preparation is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of combination.
