Description

Viscon® is a specially formulated cream which contains Methyl Salicylate and Menthol. It penetrates Into skin deep down to give fast, warm, long lasting and effective relief of pain.

Indications

Viscon® cream is indicated for the fast relief of pain & stiffness of muscle and joint such as those associated with

- Arthritis
- Backache
- Bursitis
- Strains
- Rheumatism
- Tendonitis
- Leg cramps


Dosage and administration

Adults including elderly and children(2 years and above) : 

Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily, maximum 4 times in a day.

Directions for Use :

For external use only. Apply Viscon® cream in a thin layer to the painful area and rub gently until the cream disappears. Wash the hands thoroughly after applying.


Use in pregnancy & lactation

Safety of Methyl Salicylate and Menthol in human pregnancy has not been established. Viscon® cream should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

Keep away from eyes, mucous membranes, wounds or damaged skin. If skin Irritation develops discontinue use of Viscon® cream. Do not swallow. It should not be used immediately after bath. Do not bandage tightly.


Side effects
Generally well tolerated but may cause skin irritation at the application site.

Contraindications
Allergy to salicylate or sensitivity to any of the components of the product.

Overdose
Large amount of topical application may cause salicylism (symptoms of salicylism include tinnitus, hearing loss, nausea, vomiting etc).

Presentation

Viscon® 30 cream : Each gram Viscon® cream contains Methyl Salicylate BP 0.30 g and Menthol BP 0.08 g.
Viscon® 15 cream : Each gram Viscon® cream contains Methyl Salicylate BP 0.15 g and Menthol BP 0.10 g.
