Medical science is an ever evolving knowledge in all dimensions from disease, diagnosis and treatment to patient care, welfare and rehabilitation. Professionals in this diverse field need to be updated regularly with up to date information, techniques, methods and concepts to deal with the issues and challenges they come across during daily practice. Especially the rural medical practitioners play a vital role towards keeping the nation healthy while their access to modern knowledge and skill are extremely limited. Knowing these facts, ACI and icddr,b have jointly organized 5-day long "Refresher Training of Rural Medical Practitioners" which started from 9-13 March, 2014. The aim of this training program was to enhance better understanding and diagnosis of diseases and their treatments, eventually improve better health of the people of our society. This training program was designed to facilitate access to current concepts and good practices in diagnosis and treatment and shall cater the current needs of the target group.
09-13 March 2014: 22 Rural Medical Practitioners from Comilla, Maijdee, Moulvibazar, Rangpur, Narayanganj and Faridpur have successfully completed the 5 days "Refresher Training of Rural Medical Practitioners" program.
16-20 March 2014: 26 Rural Medical Practitioners from Comilla, Jessore, Moulvibazar, Rangpur and Narayanganj have successfully completed the 5 days "Refresher Training of Rural Medical Practitioners" program.
